Just a few weeks ago, I discovered a true gem. I am not talking about an actual stone, however, for comparison purposes, I will take the opportunity to compare East Miami and their apartments (yes, this hotel offers apartments of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms), to the engagement ring of my dreams. For fantasy purposes, it would be a Graff, Asscher cut, 8 carat, D-colored and obviously flawless; the type of ring where there was not a dollar spared and for the rest of my life, this piece of luxury would make me the happiest woman in the world.

I checked in to East Miami. We decided to try their three bedroom apartments. Let me tell you, comparable to the ring, it was a flawless experience, and from A to Z, there was not a dollar spared. I did not want to leave for that matter. Why would I?

So, I thought East was simply a chic hotel, attached to a gorgeous shopping mall, with a cool roof top bar called Sugar; a property with artsy and Instagram worthy elevators and high tech monitors that get you to the floor you are going to, built by a massive conglomerate, Swire Group. It is all of the above, but SO much more. Until most recently, I had no idea that the hotel also offers residence suites, also known as apartments for your short and/or extended stay. Considering I have been on the hunt for a Brickell based luxury pied-a-terre, we decided to give East a shot for a weekend.

People, listen up: If you are looking for a staycation, or have friends/business associates coming into town either long or short term, or say, if you are moving and need a place to shack up with the family from one day up to 12 months, there is NO better option in town. The décor is WOW. Designed by New York based Clodagh, the units are so serene, plus the views = heaven, and not only do you have a full kitchen with 50” Samsung smart televisions that offer hundreds of on-demand cable channels, and high-speed wifi with app-driven room controls and multi-scene lighting, charging cables, docks and audio systems by Native Union, and in-suite beverage services provided by local purveyors including Panther Coffee and JoJo Teas, washer and dryer, work desk, combination safe, soaking tub and/or walk-in rain showers, as if that was not enough, the luxury bath products by Appelles may just be the icing on the cake. Everything about East is simply state of the art. You are also granted housekeeping (hello!), and access to all of the hotel amenities, plus granted a 10 percent discount on all food and beverage on property! All I can say is this is a no headache kind of luxury that I say is a MUST. Oh, and the beds and sheets are TOP!

So, the bottom line is, you probably did not know about this extra offering at what we all assumed was solely a hotel, so pass on the info, and god willing, hopefully soon enough you will find me there all  of the time in my new apartment, when I am in the country, because the goals of my life are to achieve happiness, like the joys of my fantasy ring and the dreamy 3 bedroom apartment at East.
