I am obsessed with Vintage Yves Saint Laurent. This is not a new thing. I have been for years… to the point of nearly crying when I went into the museum in Paris. It’s that moment when my knees lock from pure excitement and when I am totally overcome with internal tingles. Feel me?
Yves was truly one of the best gifts to the fashion world, and my closet….so after deciding that last night I would be joining a table of ten extremely style focused men at the Edition’s brand new Matador restaurant, it only made sense to wear my new red matador-esque pants, which actually double as a skirt based upon their curtain drapery effect. Forget the ‘skort’ and think ‘pirt’ (pant-skirt)…. Um, yea.
So, before heading to the Edition, my first call of duty was to celebrate the New Year with Omar Hernandez (of Omar’s NYC La Ranitia) and his partner Guillermo Giammona at their apartment on Miami Beach. I entered, briefly made love to Omar (not literally) and met his wonderful friends, including film maker, director and producer of Black Tulip, Sonia Nassery Cole, model-reality star Kelly Bensimon, pant god, Mr. Alvin Valley and J.C. Capulido.
I then headed to the Edition, fashionably late, to meet Kamil Parchomienko, Fred Dechnik, Cacho Falcon, Milan Vukmirovic, his partner Evgeny and Donovan and Liam Stefanov.

The food at Matador was truly delicious and the company even better. We then headed to dance to some incredible disco music at the Basement, which I will tell you is fierce with a capital F… e, voila!
Off to Europe this week…. so stay tuned for some frigid chic looks from Paris, Viareggio, Berlin and Madrid du moi….and follow me as I share some tips on where to go and what to do while jet-settin’ le globe!
