Even though I am currently far removed from my birthplace of Miami, I am still MAJORLY involved and in the know, when it comes down to what is going on in the Magic City. Last nig​ht, the Shinola Wynwood boutique (which has a major buzz at the moment), held an intimate in-store Valentine’s day shopping event with special hosts: my friend Rachael Russell and her amiga, Giordana Spadei.  As a part of Shinola’s Valentine’s Day celebrations, renowned illustrator and graffiti artist Jessy Nite will be stationed within the store on February 13^th from 12:00 – 5:00 P.M., to customize Shinola journals. How chic and personal? OUI.

Le fashionistas Rachael + Giordana curated a section of the store with their favorite “Gifts to Give” for the annual day of romance. Although I am more about diamonds, these fashionista’s selected their own curated goods, that included Shinola watches, journals, crisloid dominoes, sunglasses as well as pieces from Shinola’s first ever 12-piece SS16 Women’s Leather Goods collection designed by Co-Leather Design Directors Richard Lambertson and John Truex. “Our focus is on creating casual modern luxury with clean designs and attention to detail,” said Lambertson.“We approach design as a collection – it is all about an assortment.  We want our customers to have choices,” added Truex. Throughout the evening guests enjoyed passed canapes, sumptuous desserts and signature Shinola Cola and whiskey cocktails. As a part of Shinola’s Valentine’s Day celebrations, renowned illustrator and graffiti artist Jessy Nite will be stationed within the store on the 13th.
