Rolling (rack) into Basel: Day One

I just bought my 4th rolling rack. Yes, I am an addict. On top of the many closets at my mother’s home where my goods still remain, plus four separate areas in my own residence where endless hangers hold my goods….. it is that time of year to show off your impeccable style. For me, this philosophy exists all year round, but for others, you can just tell, this is how they ‘roll.’

Last night was the official launch to my very busy week. My Art Basel began as my dear friend Anthony Spinello had a solo show at a space in the Design District for Kris Knight. You may know Knight from the cover of the most recent Miami Magazine, or perhaps because he is the new ‘it’ artist of the moment. Having just collaborated with Gucci on their 2015 collection, I am kind of obsessed with not only his paintings and the technique he uses in his brush strokes, but with the new patterns he created for Frida Giannini, the Creative Director of the brand.

Spinello, he makes me proud, and this was the perfect way to kick off the week.

I then headed to the Raleigh Hotel for the Paddle 8 and LAND Auction event, where I joined my friends Michael Kirkland, Patrick McMullan, Julie and Bennett Roberts, Eve Fowler, Sam Gordon and D. Ashlee Harrison, followed by an intimate dinner at Casa Tua.

Off to not a good, but a great start. Fashion met art…. In a simple, effortless yet always chic way…and we intend to keep it this way, not only this week, but for life.

En route to the Harper’s Bazaar brunch, then to Untitled, to Danny Santiago’s pop-up and the uber exclusive Louis Vuitton event at the Jewel Box.

Until tomorrow…..
